Introduction
Creating a Decentralized Consumer Cooperative-as-a-Service requires several components, including blockchain, the internet, community, and product distribution methods. Each of these factors plays a crucial role in the development of this system, with a strong community being the most important, as it is the cornerstone of cooperatives. This paper delves into the approaches we have implemented and plan to implement to make the concept of decentralized or DAO cooperatives a reality.
First, we provide an overview of cooperatives, discussing their merits and demerits. We introduce the concept of decentralized cooperatives using Fahyr as the model infrastructure for these systems. Key components such as the Fahyr Oracle, Fahyr Slots, Fahyr Contractors & Fayhrers, and the decentralized community within the Fahyr Cooperative are explained in detail. We also outline the steps towards decentralization and the considerations for protocol implementation.
We intend that, by the end of this paper, the concept of Decentralized Cooperative-as-a-Service will be thoroughly unpacked. We aim to efficiently explain how blockchain, the internet, and the community can enable global, third-party-free, and secure contribution and product acquisition for consumer members of decentralized cooperatives.
